Activist Translation in Turkish Digitosphere

This particular book is indeed a fruit of the long and challenging, but teaching, process of PhD because I developed it from my doctoral dissertation. I asked myself many questions during the preparations regarding the target audience, the scope, and the organisation of this book. Then I realized that I had always dreamed of my dissertation-triggered book to be as comprehensive as possible without much omission and/or alteration. As this is one of the pioneering studies on the phenomenon, I believe that it should cover from A to Z as the dissertation discusses. In that regard, I edited this book to be primarily a reference book, a textbook just like an encyclopedia for digital activist translation but with an easy digest and engaging reading. Eventually, without altering much from its source, my dissertation, I humbly present all the potential audience a comprehensive source.
The journey that led to the publication of this book includes many individuals and places along with many cries and laughs, and the process throughout included numerous challenges and happy moments as such. I have travelled through many cafes, stations and even benches in various cities ranging from Istanbul to Ankara, Fethiye, Valencia, Lisbon and many more while composing this book. At the end, I am glad that my journey now carries traces from all the places I have been to and all the people I have been with. There are, thus, many individuals whom I owe great thank yous.
