This book presents a documented historical study of Shaykh Fat? Allah al-Maw?ili (d. 1162/1749), one of the leading scholars of Mosul in the twelfth century AH. The study is based primarily on his manuscript legacy, which has only recently been identified, together with the available historical sources.
